About Whispering Meadow's
Vineyard & Winery
Whispering Meadows Vineyards were established in the spring of 2005, on the family estate located near Kiowa, Oklahoma. In June of 2007, the Winery opened in the heart of Historic Downtown McAlester. With more than five generations of winemaking heritage, the Stobaugh Family strives to provide an unforgettable experience to Oklahoma. This boutique winery is set in the historical building that once housed Newton's Jewelry Store ca.
1901. With its lovely curved glass windows, murals, and charming Wine Maker's Loft, the winery delivers a terrific atmosphere for a fun and relaxed family-friendly wine tasting. The winery also features an extensive selection of wine related gift items, home accents, and gourmet foods that pair perfectly with the award-winning wines. There is always something exciting happening at Whispering Meadows. Don't miss a chance to experience this true jewel of Southeastern Oklahoma.
Whispering Meadow's History
2005-2007
Kiowa, Oklahoma
In the small town of Kiowa, Whispering Meadows was born based on a dream and the Generational passion of wine. Founded on the family estate, the first "wines from the heartland" was born.
2007-present
McAlester, Oklahoma
in 2007, Whispering Meadows was moved to the Historical District in McAlester located at the historic "Newton's Jewlery Store" that has been around since 1901. Now all of Whispering Meadows bottling and blending is done at the exact same location.
